This year I manifested things I never dreamed I would ever achieve in my lifetime let alone within a year.

I started 2 podcasts where one reached #8 in the Top 100 Indie TV Reviews Charts in less than 4 months. AND I hosted a live show with AMAZING brand partnerships.

I experienced true joy being my authentic and true self (NOT as a wife, mom, daughter, or employee). And honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever felt that before in my adult life. 🤔
This is the point where if you’re anything like me you may be rolling your eyes SO HARD. 🙄 How so VERY typical for someone to post how great their life is on Instagram? 🤮
These things sound great and all but they weren’t easy by any means. And unfortunately, these amazing things came at a cost.

I had to start being more honest with myself and address the ugly truths that I’ve been too afraid to confront for so long.

I was faced with the hard reality that people show you who they are and it’s not always pretty (no matter how much you wished and hoped it was.) 💔
On the brighter side, some people that you wouldn’t have imagined to show up for you do and remind you that there still is a glimpse of humanity out there. 🥹 Call me Tom Petty but I remember that shit and those are the people I use my voice for. (Is it considered petty to remember small acts of kindness? 🤔Whatever, you know what I mean. Petty in a good way! 😆🤦🏻♀️)
So what is the point of this post? 🤔 For 1) I AM SO GLAD JUAN DIXON IS NOT HERE RIGHT NOW! (For MANY reasons which I’ll save for a separate time.) 2) What would Lisa Barlow do? Away in a manger no crib for his bed 🎶
FOCUS 😳
It doesn’t matter what anyone else would do. I know that being me makes me happy and if I can inspire or help even 1 person out there, then I know that this temporary phase of sadness and pain is worth it.
Adversity typically leads to extraordinary growth. I’ve done it before. I can do it again. Which means ANYONE reading this can as well.
P.S. I also quit drinking alcohol this year and I’ve never been happier to put that chapter behind me. Have a safe and happy new year everyone. 💚😮💨
